In early 2021, SD was commissioned by NHS Virtually to overhaul its online consultation platform.
The Virtually platform was created to help primarily London and metropolitan areas of the UK to more effectively deal with a high demand for GP appointments, a situation hugely exacerbated by the COVID pandemic. It was clear that the platform needed to better appeal to users, and be generally easier to use for practitioners and the general public, whenever needed.

Optimising for function
When revamping the UI, we wanted to ensure that a new user was able to quickly and easily find what they're looking for. Through a mix of utilising user testing and user flow mapping, we delivered a solution that worked well for a wide demographic including age, language and disability.
